Radda Preaches Peace, Unity As Christians Celebrate Christmas In Katsina

KATSINA – Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has felicitated with Christians as they mark the birth of Jesus Christ, urging them to emulate the virtues of Christ.

Radda who applauded the people of the state for their resilience in fostering peace and religious harmony not only in the state but Nigeria as a whole, also admonished the people of Katsina state to continue to uphold the sanctity of love, unity and security of the state and Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor made available to newsmen as his Christmas message in Katsina on Monday.

“As we gather to celebrate the importance of life, peace and unity, we should continue to pray for the country.”

According to the statement, in the face of challenges, the Governor expressed readiness to remains committed to ending banditry and ensuring the safety of all citizens.

“The government is actively tackling security issues; implementing measures to safeguard communities and foster an environment of peace”.

During this festive season, Governor Radda urged all to use the period for prayers and reflection stressing that, “In the spirit of togetherness, we should join hands in seeking divine intervention for peace, security, and continued progress in Katsina State and Nigeria”.

He therefore expressed his heartfelt Christmas greetings to all the Christians in the state, urging citizens to embrace the festive period with hope and optimism.

“May the New Year bring prosperity, security, and educational advancements to our beloved state,” he concluded.
